µScope
µScope is a simple to use Max for Live audio visualization tool/instrument. Place it at the end of any track, on a Send, or even on your Master. Responds to stereo signals and visualizes them on the X and Y axis. Has 'Folding' and 'Blur' effects built in. It can be used inside of Ableton to visualize a signal for utility, or to project as an accompanying element for a performance, or sent to another application using the built-in Syphon implementation.
Works very well to visualize waveforms on-screen if you are rendering to an RGB laser using the Laser Control for MOTU Max for Live Device, or some other system.
You might want to use the Laser Oscillators Max for Live Device for exploring various patterns for both laser display, and/or projections.
Make sure you have the latest version of Max installed, rather than using the "Bundled version" that is the Ableton default.
Here is a video showing an example of how the tools might be used.
